  Did the elders in your congregation give counsel to those that were DATING? Good or bad counsel?

  i have heard some doozies.

  some elders forbid the couple from sitting together at the meetings unless they are engaged.

  i have heard that said from the platform.

  I was "advised" that although I was happily married, if I ever did become baptized, this would present inummerable problems in the future and that maybe my husband would stop me from spiritually progressing. They didnt say the words, but they implied there could/should be a separation. In the beginning in was "win him without a word"....in the end it was...."at the end of the day Paula, you are married to an agnostic...how would Jehovah feel??"......

  I remember 2 Christmas's ago, there was a homeless man camped out on the bit of common grass in front of my house, maybe 100 yards away. He is a bit of a well know drunk in the village, but harmless enough. It was freezing, and I mean freezing.....I could see he had a little fire going and blankets etc, but I felt compelled to help.......I told my study teacher about him and his plight and was told in no uncertain terms to stay well away from him.It was snowing hard and I couldnt stop thinking about him and how he came to be in this situation....(He used to be a local newsagent).

  Goodness me, the JW have such wonderful Christian love in them dont they? Not.

  Well, I cant help myself when it comes to others, and I trip trapped down there in the snow and took him a hot meal (Xmas dinner UK style)...and while he was clearly drunk, he was so appreciative of a hot meal, and I will never forget the look on his face. Bless him. I did this for 3 days.....woke up one morning and he was gone.

  It was a week later that I found out the 2 JW ladies I studied with had CALLED THE POLICE and he was forcibly removed......he spent Christmas in JAIL. (Public nuscience offences, apparently). I really couldnt believe it. I had intentions of asking him in to share our dinner with us Xmas morning, and instead he was alone in a cell. I guess it was for his own good?? Not sure. I still find it hard to understand how Jehovahs servants could be so meddling, vindictive, cruel even........

  I dont give money to the homeless but I do buy hot drinks and a sandwich now and again. Im a feeder (as Angus, Nugget, and Mummatron know!)....what I did I was compelled to do. I guess what they did ringing the police they felt compelled to do. But I will never understand it.

  as you may be aware, the feb 15th watchtower features an experience depicting a 'fairytale' scenario of a violent husband beating his wife, and then mending his ways once she starts to apply bible principles.

  to my knowledge, this is the nineteenth experience of its kind to be published since 1958, and it betrays a disturbing track record of negligence on the part of the watch tower society in failing to properly and consistently deal with such a sensitive and life-or-death issue, which effects untold thousands of women.. the experience, page 29, paragraph 12, reads as follows:.

  selma recalls a lesson she learned from the witness who studied with her.

  brother and sister bishop had to be the most annoying witnesses in our congregation.

  sister bishop was a shrill overweight busybody who had nothing else better to do than spread rumors about both people and inanimate objects.

  on the other hand, brother bishop was a rail thin cuckold of a man nearly 20 years younger than his wife.

  FHN...I think Im a 10 in American, I guess Im still considered "hefty" maybe?Still bigger on top thanks to my bazookers! whoop whoop!

  Nancy...Lush SHOULD be a disfellowshipping offence, its outrageous how many gorgeous oils and esseces they use hahaha, I SO love them.

  Got to say, Jane Seymour looking good, how old is she now, I remember her on tele when I was a kid and Im 40 now.

  I do not want size 16 underwear from my hubby as Im now a size 14 going into a 12.

  I do want lots of lovely stuff from a Lush shop

  My lord that ring IS ugly!
